Rebecca Daly-Peoples has over 10 years experience working in both public and community mental health and the private sector. She worked five years with the Kari Centre (Community Child, Adolescent and Family Service for the Central Auckland region) particularly with adolescents with mood disorders, and young children with behavioural issues. She has also worked in the area of addictions.

Rebecca uses a number of models including schema-focused therapy, behavioural therapy, dialectical-behaviour therapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy. She also offers sand tray therapy, a form of non-verbal play therapy which is particularly helpful for young children.
Rebecca sees clients of all ages including young children, adolescents, adults and couples. She works with a range of mental health, emotional or relationship issues including:
• ADHD
• Anxiety disorders including Panic Attacks, Generalized Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social and Specific Phobias (or just general fears and worries)
• Anger problems (e.g. managing anger and emotional outbursts)
• Behavioural problems
• Conflict and Relationship issues (including peers, family and intimate relationships, bullying)
• Depression (mild to moderate only)
• Parenting Issues
• Post-natal depression and anxiety
• Psycho-somatic problems (i.e. stomach aches, toilet-training difficulties)
However due to the constraints of private practice Rebecca does not take referrals for clients who may be suicidal or self harming or in need of crisis management.
